My art work, whether pastels, acrylic paintings, oil bars, collagraphs or collages, reflect a mix of impulsiveness, chance effects, and controlled composition of bold shapes, sinewy lines, and strong contrasts in values. I like to experiment with different ways of creating actual or implied textures to provide a more tactile quality and depth to my paintings, enticing the viewer to come closer and look at how the painting is made.

Though I do not consciously set out to create landscapes, I often see within my paintings large water and land movements, the organic formulation and reformulation of the earth’s evolving changes.
